For more than fifty years, my work has centered on one practical question: How do we turn what we read into what we live?

About William
My name is William Carpenter. I have studied and practiced A Course in Miracles since 1976, exploring how its teachings can move beyond intellectual understanding and become a living practice of peace, clearer perception, and more loving relationships.
My work helps people bring the Course off the page and into the circumstances, decisions, challenges, and relationships of everyday life.
Long before I became a teacher and coach, I learned to solve practical problems as an electrician, construction leader, and longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. My work took me across the United States and into the Middle East, where I collaborated with people from many cultures, trades, beliefs, and ways of seeing the world.
Those experiences taught me that strong structures require sound foundations, clear communication, the right tools, and people willing to work together. They also taught me that understanding the blueprint is not the same as building what it describes.
Today, as a Certified NLP Global Trainer and Consultant, I bring that practical perspective to my writing, teaching, and coaching. I develop resources that help people recognize the inner patterns shaping their lives and practice a more peaceful, purposeful, and loving way of living.
  Why ACIM Global Coach Exists
Many people are deeply inspired by A Course in Miracles yet still find its language abstract, its metaphysics difficult, or its principles challenging to apply when life becomes complicated. ACIM Global Coach exists to help bridge that gap.
Through practical teaching, thoughtful questions, stories, exercises, and shared exploration, this work helps students move from reading the Course to recognizing its principles within their own thoughts, relationships, decisions, and daily experiences.
This work is grounded in a simple conviction: spiritual understanding becomes meaningful as it changes how we perceive one another, respond to conflict, make choices, and meet the ordinary events of life.
The purpose is not merely to accumulate more spiritual information. It is to cultivate the awareness, willingness, and inner practice that allow a gentler way of seeing—and living—to take root.
Over time, ACIM Global Coach is developing a wider culture of learning in which dedicated students can deepen their practice, ask high-quality questions, share lived experience, and help extend greater peace, clarity, and love into the world.
